Buffalo’s Personal Style has dropped a new and ferociously raw four-track EP titled ‘Garbage Can.’
Described by the group on its Bandcamp page as “four rippin’ songs that we wrote along the way,” the EP stands as a master class in blistering garage rock and underscores, once again, why this band is so widely respected throughout Buffalo’s scene.

Adding to the new record’s excellence is the appearance of Buffalo’s Jake King, who appears on guitar on the song ‘Double Downer.’
Historically a trio, Personal Style several months ago added Jordan Smith (Stress Dolls, Urge Surfer) to its fold on bass. Smith did not play on ‘Garbage Can’ but has been in the studio recently working with the band, as well as touring with the group.
The band will be playing Revolver Records on Elmwood Avenue with Welks Mice on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. and copies of its new 7-inch released through the label, Record Beach, will be available.
The show will mark the kick-off of a four-date tour, with gigs also happening in Washington DC, Philadelphia and Ithaca. Check out the band’s Insta page HERE for details.

Speaking of widely respected Buffalo punk bands, the veteran trio On the Cinder has dropped a new single.
Titled ‘One Year Down,’ the song can be heard HERE.
In releasing the single on Tuesday, On the Cinder said on its Bandcamp page that the song asks, “how long will it take to heal and how do we keep moving on?”
‘Holly only sharpens after a leaf has been torn away The beat dog bites to forever live a stray Dehydrated dustpan desperate for a spill Nothing left in the falling action but the reading of the will’ — ‘One Year Down’
On the Cinder will be hitting the road later this Spring, playing the three-day Pouzza Fest in Montreal in May.

The uber-prolific Wylie Something has released a new single titled ‘Mirage,’ a run-up to his latest forthcoming LP, ‘Nap.’
The nearly 7-minute and aptly named song is vintage Wylie, a psychedelic Rustbelt dream bouncing across a fantastical soundscape mirage.
Check out this trippy footage that perfectly captures the song’s vibe.
Wylie Something’s new album — his sixth official full length and a follow up to 2024's ‘Picnic’ — drops on May 1. The LP also will be complemented by a cassette run.
Until then, you can listen to ‘Mirage’ and pre-order ‘Nap’ HERE.
