VOICE OF DISSENT

Buffalo punk band Voice of Dissent has released a new music video for its song, “Blood in Berlin.” Intense and replete with punk ferocity, the video was produced and edited by the talented Jonathan Lambert, who did a masterful job capturing the band’s essence. The four-minute video showcases exactly what makes Voice of Dissent — which has always epitomized punk’s true DIY punk ethos — such a captivating band. “We built a set for this video in my basement using Dollar Tree supplies and whatever was lying around the house,” said guitarist/drummer Trey James. “Jon Lambert shot and edited it, and we spent nine hours filming repeated takes.” Follow Voice of Dissent on its website HERE, where, among other things, you can see behind-the-scenes photos and check out its music. Follow the band, too, on its Instagram HERE.

BRYAN DUBAY

Buffalo indie musician Bryan Dubay is out with a new video for his song, ‘HASTE,’ the title track from his new four-song EP. The record is a follow-up to Dubay’s excellent 2025 album ‘Call Your Mother.’ In this day and age of too-perfectly curated social media and enslaving oneself to a ridiculously arbitrary algorithm, there’s something reaffirming about Dubay’s whole approach to creating and releasing music, and the video, produced by Buffalo’s Mike Thompson, does an extraordinary job bringing to life the song’s beauty and mood. While the EP’s title reflects a society in which attention spans run short and mindsets demand immediate gratification, the record itself, as Dubay has noted, is a reminder to slow down, appreciate what you have and patiently put time into the things you care about. Hell yeah. You can purchase the new EP at Dubay’s Bandcamp page HERE.

THE RAINLAMPS

Western New York indie band The Rainlamps have dropped an excellent new video for their song ‘True Superheroes.’ Engrossing and loaded with charm, the well-crafted video has the feel of a short film, and follows the story of a socially, maladjusted mime who ventures into New York City in an attempt to make new friends. He eventually lands at Union Pool in Brooklyn for a show by ‘The Hard Quartet.’ The video was produced by Talya Gelfand, directed by Jeremy Kowalski, with cinematography by Eddy Wang. ‘True Superheroes’ is a track off The Rainlamps recently released sophomore album, ‘Down in the Bush Leagues.’ We highly recommend you check it out. The album is also available for purchase on the band’s Bandcamp page, where you can also notch yourself some merch as well as a cool companion zine to the new LP, titled ‘The Bush League Zine.’

POTUSxXx

And lastly, PotusxXx has dropped a new video for its just-released single, ‘PTWI’ — or ‘Party ‘Til We’re Indicted.’ We’re going to let this video — which contains more meat than any video in history — speak for itself. We’re also going to suggest you do not drop acid before watching. This thing’s a total trip all on its own.
