Taste of Buffalo to host First-Ever 'Battle of the Bands' at Buffalo Iron Works on March 29

Calling all musicians in Western New York! The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops has announced its first ever Battle of the Bands competition, with the winning artist securing a spot performing on the Main Stage at this year’s festival in Niagara Square on Saturday, July 11.

Prospective artists of all genres – based in Western New York – are encouraged to apply. Five performers will be chosen to compete by a panel of judges from the Taste of Buffalo Entertainment Committee. 

The Battle of the Bands to determine the winner will be Sunday, March 29 at Buffalo Iron Works, with tickets going on sale the week of March 2. Doors will open at 4 p.m. and the Battle will begin at 5 p.m. The judges for the Battle will also be comprised of the Taste of Buffalo Entertainment Committee. Audience support will be a component of the judging process, so selected artists are encouraged to get their fans to the show! 

Those interested must submit contact information, social media accounts, and links to released music via this submission form. Submissions will be accepted through February 25. Selected artists will be notified March 3.
